NAHCON Team Visits Ogun Pilgrims Board For Hajj License Renewal - The Alternative News

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) inspection team has visited the Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board as part of the ongoing process for the renewal of Hajj operational licenses.

The visit, conducted in line with NAHCON’s guidelines, was aimed at assessing the level of infrastructure and staff capacity of the State’s Pilgrims Board to ensure compliance with operational standards.

Leading the delegation, The Deputy Director, Tour Operation, Hajia Hafsat  Gamawa, expressed satisfaction with the level of preparedness, organisation and professionalism displayed by the staff of the Board. She commended the infrastructural development witnessed in the State, noting that it reflected Ogun Standards policies.

According to her, the facilities and structures on ground have demonstrated that the Board deserved the renewal of its license while urging the Management not to relent in maintaining and improving on the existing standards.

In his response, Executive Secretary of the Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Taiwo Ajibola, thanked the delegation for their thorough assessment, noting that each inspection served as motivation for continuous improvement.

He assured that the Board remained committed to enhancing its operations and facilities ahead of subsequent inspections.

It would be recalled that the issuance and renewal of Hajj operational licenses was a process carried out every two years across the 36 states of the federation, with the last exercise conducted in 2023.
