Tottenham Hotspur have intensified efforts to appoint Roberto De Zerbi as their next head coach following the departure of Igor Tudor, in what marks another major development in the club’s turbulent season.
Tudor’s short-lived spell lasted just 44 days, ending on March 29, 2026, after a string of poor results left Spurs hovering dangerously close to the relegation zone in the Premier League and triggered mounting pressure from supporters and the club hierarchy.
According to reports from Sky Italia on Monday, De Zerbi is now open to taking up the role immediately. The Italian tactician, who has been unattached since leaving Olympique de Marseille in February, had initially been expected to wait until the summer before considering a return to management.
However, there is growing optimism within Tottenham that he could be convinced to step in before the end of the current campaign, as the club seeks urgent stability and a clear tactical direction amid its ongoing struggles.
