The Kwankwasiyya Movement has announced that its National Leader, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, will officially leave the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC) on Monday, March 30, 2026.

In a statement issued on Saturday by the Movement’s spokesperson, Dr. Habibu Sale Mohammed, members across the country were directed to align with the new political direction by registering with the ADC in their respective wards and states.

According to the statement, Kwankwaso is expected to formalise his membership at his residence in Kano by noon, marking a significant political shift ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The Movement described the decision as strategic and in the broader interest of its members and the country, stressing its commitment to democratic values, inclusive governance, and national development.

Members were further urged to actively participate in ADC activities and contribute to strengthening the party at all levels, as the coalition seeks to challenge the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
