In a cross-border display of sisterhood and charity, the Sisters of Jannah (SoJ) UK/Ireland Zone successfully executed its 2026 Ramadan Care project at the Nigeria Correctional Service, Borstal Institution in Adigbe, Abeokuta.
The initiative, carried out on behalf of the UK/Ireland chapter by the Abeokuta Zone, provided essential Iftar support to over 300 fasting juveniles currently at the correctional facility. The donation included packages of bread and moimoi to assist the young residents in breaking their fast during the holy month.
During the presentation, Mrs. Sekinat Dada, Coordinator of the Abeokuta Zone, expressed high praise for the management of the Borstal Institution. She specifically highlighted the consistent upkeep of the facility and the behavior of the wards.
"Every time we visit, even when unannounced, the environment is always well-kept and the children maintain decorum," Mrs. Dada remarked. "We commend the staff for their dedication to ensuring discipline and a clean atmosphere for these youth."
The Head of Operations at the institute received the donations with gratitude, noting that the Sisters of Jannah have become a reliable fixture in the lives of the residents. He applauded the organization for their annual commitment, stating that their presence serves as a significant source of inspiration.
He further encouraged the juveniles to remain diligent and steadfast in their fasting, knowing they have the support of the community behind them.
Sisters of Jannah is a faith-based organization dedicated to humanitarian services, empowerment, and supporting the less privileged across various regions, bridging the gap between its international chapters and local needs.
