The West African Examinations Council has announced the release of the 2026 First Series results of the Computer-Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination (CB-WASSCE) for private candidates.
In a statement posted on Friday via its official X (formerly Twitter) handle, the examination body disclosed that candidates who participated in the exercise would be able to access their results within 12 hours.
WAEC stated that the prompt release underscores its commitment to enhancing service delivery through the adoption of technology and improved examination processes.
“The result of CB-WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2026–First Series has been released. Candidates can access their results within the next 12 hours,” the council said.
The body also expressed appreciation to stakeholders for their support in ensuring the smooth conduct of the examination.
The CB-WASSCE, designed for private candidates, forms part of WAEC’s broader initiative to modernise its examination system through computer-based testing, aimed at improving efficiency and user experience.
