The West African Examinations Council has released the official timetable for the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for school candidates.
According to the final international schedule published on the council’s official X handle on Monday, the examination will commence on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, and conclude on Friday, June 19, 2026.
WAEC stated that the examination will begin with practical planning sessions for Foods and Nutrition 3, as well as Home Management 3.
The WASSCE remains a key academic requirement for secondary school students seeking admission into universities and other tertiary institutions, particularly in Nigeria and across the sub-region.
The examination covers core subjects such as English Language and Mathematics, alongside a broad range of elective papers spanning sciences, arts, humanities, and vocational or technical disciplines.
It is conducted across WAEC member countries, including Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone, and The Gambia.
