The Ogun State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), has said that plans are underway to renovate all its zonal offices across the State.
Chairman of the Commission, Apostle ‘Biodun Sanyaolu, disclosed this during the ongoing verification exercise for teaching staff in Public Secondary Schools across the four divisions of the State, saying that the zonal office environment must be conducive in order to ensure an effective service delivery, hence, the need for the upgrading.
“Zonal offices represent TESCOM at the grassroots, the offices in these zones are supposed to be in good shape and well equipped to carry out their supervisory and administrative roles,’’ he said.
Apostle Sanyaolu reassured that the welfare of the teaching workforce at the secondary school level remained paramount to the Government, urging teachers to remain diligent and responsive in their duties, revealing that the Commission would soon address the dichotomy in the appointment of Zonal Secretaries, as part of the ongoing reforms in TESCOM.
Designated schools for the exercise visited included, Pakoto High School, Ifo, Iganmode Grammar School, Ota, Iko Gateway Grammar School, Idiroko, Yewa College, Ilaro and Comprehensive High School, Ayetoro.
