The Ogun State Amirul hajj for the on-going hajj exercise in Saudi Arabia, Prince Shamsideen Apelogun, has commended both the Federal and State Government for their relentless initiatives to ensure the welfare of the pilgrims.

Apelogun gave this commendation in reaction to the recent establishment of a cloud based call centre by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) meant to engender smooth communication between pilgrims and their relatives back home, advising them to make proper use of the facility.

He also commended the President Bola Tinubu led Administration for the ongoing economic reforms in the country , noting that Nigerian bank cards, which were previously difficult to use in Saudi Arabia, were now working effectively.

The Amirul hajj, equally highlighted the welfare package put in place by the State government, particularly, the free healthcare and feeding programme for the pilgrims, observing that the State had continued to record successful Hajj operations over the years, expressing optimism that this year's exercise would not be an exception

 He advised pilgrims to obey all safety instructions, stay hydrated and follow directives from authorities throughout the Hajj exercise, while urging them to be security conscious, show tolerance to one another and live peacefully as brothers and sisters during the pilgrimage.
