MultiChoice Nigeria has announced that the 2026 edition of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) will premiere on Sunday, July 26.

The organisers disclosed during a press briefing on Wednesday that the winner of this year’s edition will receive a grand prize of N160 million, the highest since the show debuted in 2006.

Ahead of the new season, auditions for the 11th edition were conducted from May 22 to 24 across Lagos, Abuja, and Enugu. Participation was free and open to individuals aged 21 and above with valid identification.

The last edition of the reality show was won by Opeyemi Ayanwale, popularly known as Imisi. She emerged victorious on October 5, 2025, after defeating 28 other housemates to clinch the N150 million grand prize, which included N80 million cash and an SUV.

The upcoming season is expected to deliver even more entertainment as contestants compete for the record-breaking prize.
