PFIPC ‘DG’ Adeniyi Adeyemi Arrested Over Alleged Fraud, Impersonation - The Alternative News

A self-acclaimed Director-General of the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), Adeniyi Adeyemi, has been arrested over allegations of forgery, fraud and impersonation.

Adeyemi’s arrest followed a bench warrant issued by Mohammed Umar of the Federal High Court, Abuja, after he failed to appear for trial.

The defendant is being prosecuted alongside two others on an eight-count charge bordering on conspiracy, forgery and impersonation in a case marked FHC/ABJ/CR/562/2025.

When the matter was called, Adeyemi was absent, prompting the Nigeria Police Force, led by the Inspector-General of Police, to apply for a warrant to compel his appearance. The court granted the request and directed security agencies to ensure his arrest. He was reportedly apprehended shortly after the order.

According to the prosecution, the charges were filed on November 27, 2025, by police prosecutor Wisdom Madaki. Adeyemi is accused of falsely presenting himself as the head of PFIPC, an organisation authorities say does not exist.

The alleged actions of the defendants form the basis of the ongoing criminal proceedings before the court.

Among those listed as potential witnesses is Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to Bola Tinubu. Others expected to testify include Paul Emmanuel, Jeremiah Imoukhede, Ituah Sylvester, as well as officials from the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation and a deputy superintendent of police.

The court is expected to proceed with the case once the defendant is formally arraigned following his arrest.
