Vinícius Jr. is reportedly demanding a new contract worth €30 million per year from Real Madrid, as negotiations between both parties continue without agreement.

The Brazilian winger currently earns around €15 million annually (net), while the club has proposed an improved deal of €20 million. However, the 26-year-old is holding out for €30 million, equivalent to over €550,000 per week.

The contract talks have been ongoing for months, with neither side willing to compromise. According to Spanish football expert Terry Gibson, speaking on Sky Sports News, the situation has remained at a standstill for about 18 months.

“There’s no budging on the contract from Real Madrid or Vinicius,” Gibson said, adding that the financial demands could make it difficult for other top clubs, including those in the Premier League, to match.

Amid the uncertainty, Real Madrid are reportedly exploring alternatives, including a potential move for Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig.

The outcome of the negotiations could shape Madrid’s transfer strategy heading into the next season.
