The newly posted Permanent Secretary to the Ogun State Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Kehinde Akintomide, has called on members of staff of the Ministry to remain dedicated, disciplined and committed to the efficient discharge of their duties in order to sustain the remarkable strides of the present administration in infrastructural development across the State.
Engr. Akintomide, made the call during his maiden meeting with the workforce of the Ministry, at the Ministry’s Conference Room, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, noting that the Ministry occupied a strategic position in the realisation of Governor Dapo Abiodun’s “Building Our Future Together” Agenda through the delivery of quality road networks and other critical public infrastructure.
The Permanent Secretary expressed appreciation to members of staff for the warm reception accorded him upon his assumption of office, describing the Ministry as one united family with a shared responsibility to deliver impactful infrastructure projects that would enhance the socio-economic development and well-being of the people of Ogun State.
He assured the workforce of an inclusive and open-door leadership style anchored on transparency, accountability, mutual respect, teamwork and effective communication, while urging officers to continue with the act of upholding the core values and ethical standards of the Ogun State Public Service.
“I believe in teamwork and collective responsibility. Together, we can build on the remarkable achievements already recorded by the Ministry. Every officer has a vital role to play in ensuring that we continue to deliver quality service to the government and the good people of Ogun State,” Engr. Akintomide stated.
In her remarks, the Director of Administration and Supplies, Mrs. Dunni Adetona, commended the Permanent Secretary for convening the interactive meeting and appealed to members of staff to accord him their maximum cooperation and unwavering support to ensure the successful discharge of his responsibilities.
Mrs. Adetona, further urged the workforce to remain diligent, loyal and professional in the performance of their duties, stressing that unity of purpose, discipline and strict adherence to the ethics of the Civil Service would further enhance productivity and promote excellence in service delivery.
The meeting also featured a special prayer session during which members of staff reaffirmed their readiness to work harmoniously with the new leadership in advancing the Ministry’s vision. They pledged their unwavering support and commitment to the successful implementation of the Ministry’s mandate of providing durable, sustainable and people-oriented infrastructure for the continued growth and development of Ogun State.
