Fulham FC have officially announced the double signing of Gonzalo Garcia and Cesar Palacios from Real Madrid in a deal worth a combined £42.5 million.

Garcia completed a £34 million move to Craven Cottage, penning a five-year contract with an option for a further 12 months. The 22-year-old forward arrives with strong credentials, having finished as the top scorer at the Club World Cup last summer.

Shortly after, Fulham confirmed the signing of Palacios for around £8.5 million. The 21-year-old midfielder has also signed a five-year deal, with the club holding an option to extend his stay by an additional year.

Both players become the first signings under new Fulham manager Alvaro Arbeloa, reuniting with him after their time together at Real Madrid last season.
