President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has concluded his visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, saying he prayed for peace, unity and prosperity for Nigeria and its citizens.

The President disclosed this on Monday in a post on his verified X handle, @officialABAT.

He described the visit as a demonstration of the enduring bonds of faith, friendship and mutual respect between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia.

Tinubu departed Abuja on Thursday, October 29, for Saudi Arabia, where he performed Umrah at the Grand Mosque, Masjid al-Haram, in Makkah.

In his latest post, the President said he had concluded the visit, during which he and members of his delegation were granted the rare privilege of entering the Holy Kaaba to pray and perform Umrah.

He wrote: "I have concluded my visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where, together with members of my delegation, I had the rare honour of entering the Holy Kaaba to pray, and of performing Umrah."

The President expressed appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman, for granting them the privilege and extending gracious hospitality.

He described the gesture as a reflection of the longstanding relationship between both countries.

"It reflects the enduring bonds of faith and friendship between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia," he said.

Tinubu further explained that he used the opportunity of the sacred moments to pray for the country and its citizens.

"In those sacred moments, I prayed for peace, unity and prosperity for our dear nation and for all Nigerians," he stated.
