Omoyele Sowore, the 2023 presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), has once again lashed out at the newly formed opposition coalition that adopted the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as its platform for the 2027 general elections.
Speaking on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief on Wednesday, Sowore dismissed the coalition as a gathering of individuals with questionable records, stating he “cannot sit across the table” with many of its members.
“These are people who have betrayed Nigerians, done evil, and lack conscience, character, and pedigree,” Sowore said, adding that his claims are based on documented evidence, not mere opinion.
He described the coalition as dominated by self-serving political elites, both from the ruling and opposition camps, accusing them of preparing to further exploit the country.
The coalition, which includes high-profile figures like Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, Nasir El-Rufai, Rauf Aregbesola, and David Mark, has been attempting to position itself as a united alternative to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the build-up to 2027.
