The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Zamfara State has publicly invited Governor Dauda Lawal to defect from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and join its ranks ahead of the 2027 elections.
At a press conference in Gusau on Friday, the ADC State Chairman, Kabiru Garba, described Lawal as a transformative leader whose defection would boost the opposition coalition and accelerate development in the state.
Garba revealed that over 100 politicians from various parties had recently joined the ADC in Zamfara, citing the party’s commitment to justice, fairness, and equal opportunity.
He assured defectors of fair treatment and encouraged them to follow due process through ward leadership.
The ADC in Zamfara is positioning itself as a major opposition force, aligning with national figures like Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, and David Mark, who recently adopted the party as the platform for their 2027 coalition.
