Brentford FC have signed former Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson on a free transfer.
The 34-year-old midfielder joins on a two-year contract after leaving Ajax, marking his return to the Premier League.
Henderson, who earned 84 England caps, previously played for Al-Ettifaq and Ajax after a trophy-laden 12-year spell at Liverpool.
He captained the Reds from 2015 and won multiple honours, including the Premier League and Champions League.
Brentford coach Keith Andrews praised Henderson’s fitness, motivation, and leadership, calling him “one of the most influential leaders in modern Premier League years.”
Henderson is expected to fill the leadership void left by the exits of Christian Nørgaard, Mark Flekken, and Ben Mee.
He began his career at Sunderland before moving to Liverpool in 2011, making 492 appearances and scoring 33 goals.
