Former presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu, has ruled out any possibility of returning to work for ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar, declaring his unwavering loyalty to former President Muhammadu Buhari.

Shehu made this known during an interview on TVC News’ programme Beyond The Headlines on Thursday. He emphasized that loyalty and integrity guide his decisions, stating, “A man should serve only one master at a time.”

According to Shehu, his continued support for Buhari is rooted in the trust and confidence the former president placed in him during their time in office.

 “When I speak for Buhari these days, I do so out of commitment for a leader who gave me his absolute trust,” he said. “Otherwise, I would have done like others did — walk away and start something else.”

He added that Buhari is now politically inactive and that any public statements issued on his behalf are rare and carefully considered to avoid creating the impression of dual presidential influence in the country.

 “We don’t want people to think there are two presidents in a country,” Shehu stated.
