The Executive Secretary of the Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board (OGMPWB), Alhaji Ajibola Taiwo, has been honoured with an Award of Recognition by the Department of Music, Federal College of Education, Abeokuta. The honour was part of the activities marking the 20th Annual National Conference of the Society of Music Educators of Nigeria (SOWEN).

The award was presented by the Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC), Dr. Deborah Lawal, at Alhaji Taiwo’s office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, in recognition of his notable contributions to indigenous music and his commitment to preserving and promoting Nigeria's rich musical heritage.
