The Conference of Professionals in the Peoples Democratic Party (CP-PDP) has declared that Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory and former Governor of Rivers State, is no longer recognized as a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In a statement signed by its chairman, Obinna Nwachukeu, the group condemned Wike’s recent remarks during a media chat where he attempted to dictate terms to the PDP, stating that such outbursts are irrelevant and should be ignored.
The CP-PDP emphasized that Wike forfeited his PDP status when he openly supported the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Bola Tinubu, labeling him an "apologist of the failed Tinubu administration."
The group asserted that the PDP has already resolved its South-South and South-East leadership structures and dismissed Wike’s references to court orders on those issues as baseless.
“The PDP has moved beyond being bullied by Wike’s diatribes,” the statement concluded.
