The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has urged the newly installed Lowa Ibu of Batoro-Sagamu, Oba Adesegun Ogunsola, to regard his ascension to the throne as a call to greater service, particularly in advancing the socio-economic development of his people and preserving the community’s rich cultural heritage.
Governor Abiodun gave the charge during the installation and presentation of the Staff of Office to the monarch in Sagamu Local Government Area of the State.
Represented by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs , Hon. Razak Daddah, the Governor advised the monarch to leverage his wealth of experience and exposure to mobilise the people of Batoro-Sagamu towards aligning with the State government’s strategic development agenda and economic transformation drive.
"I implore kabiyesi to serve as a vital link in the ISEYA mantra of our administration by mobilizing his subjects to remain law abiding and fulfill their civic obligations with pride," Akinlesi said.
He also called on the sons and daughters of Batoro-Sagamu to support the new monarch, stressing that peaceful co-existence remained a key driver of sustainable community development.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman Sagamu Local Government, Ogbeni Jubril Odulate, represented by the Vice Chairman Hon. Isiaka Salami, appreciated the State government and called for unity and collective sense of responsibility among the people in order to advance grassroot development.
In his congratulatory remarks, the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Ajayi, urged the newly installed monarch to pursue rapid development in his domain.
While making his acceptance speech, Oba Ogunsola thanked the Governor for the honour and official recognition of his installation, pledging to intensify efforts to sustain peace and security, as he reaffirmed his commitment to serve his people with integrity, humility and dedication.
