The Ogun State Government has approved the appointment of Basorun Otunba Peter Oluwole Ogunbayo as the new Odemo of Isara Remo in Remo North Local Government Area.
The approval was granted by Governor Dapo Abiodun on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, following confirmation by the State Executive Council, as part of efforts to strengthen traditional institutions and enhance grassroots governance across the state.
Ogunbayo, who hails from the Otete Ruling House of Isara Remo, was born on April 23, 1970, and is widely regarded as a seasoned businessman and community leader with strong roots in the town. He received his early education at Army Children Primary School and Muslim High School, Sagamu, before obtaining a Diploma in Estate Management from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the University of Jos.
He began his professional career with the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing in Lagos before moving into private enterprise, where he established himself in real estate, consultancy, and industrial development. As Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of AMBA Properties Limited and other affiliated companies, he has facilitated the establishment of several industries within Ogun State, particularly along the Sagamu industrial axis, contributing significantly to economic growth and job creation.
A respected traditional titleholder and philanthropist, Ogunbayo holds the titles of Basorun of Isara Remo and Babalaje of Remo Land, among others, and has received multiple awards for leadership and excellence in commerce and industry. He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Directors and has played advisory roles in community and church development initiatives.
His appointment as Odemo of Isara Remo is expected to further strengthen traditional leadership, promote peace and unity, and drive development in the town and its surrounding communities.
