The most Senior Officer, Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE), Commander Elias Omonayajo, has called on the Ogun State Emergency Medical Services and Ambulance System(OGSEMSAS), to increase capacity building for TRACE operatives in the area of first aid and emergency responses to accident victims.
Commander Omonayajo, made the call while playing host to OGSEMSAS at the TRACE Headquarters, Ajebo road, Abeokuta, saying that equipping operatives with modern techniques for handling accident victims would significantly improve outcomes in saving lives and property.
He also reaffirmed TRACE’s readiness to support OGSEMSAS, especially in the training and retraining of its drivers for recertification, as part of efforts to boost operational efficiency.
Omonayajo explained that the collaboration between TRACE and OGSEMSAS was part of the advocacy campaign focused on promoting road safety, encouraging responsible driving and improving emergency response in case of any eventuality.
Earlier, Director of OGSEMSAS, Dr. Hassan Adelakun, said the at the instance of OGSEMSAS, geared towards revitalising the working relationship between the two organisations in attaining more effective service delivery across the State, appreciated TRACE officials for their diligence, selfless service and quick response to accidents in the State.
He urged TRACE field commanders to take full advantage of the synergy by promptly notifying OGSEMSAS of emergency situations through its dedicated contact line, 08112000033, to ensure swift medical response.
