A female Renewed Hope Ambassador among the Chairmen in Lagos, and the Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government Council Area of Lagos state, Princess Surah Animashaun has declared her support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in the 2027 general election, citing what it described as bold reforms and tangible grassroots development under his administration.

The endorsement was announced at the weekend by the Chairperson of the LG council during a caucus meeting with All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders, held at the council secretariat, Ita-Marun, Epe, Lagos state.

She said the decision followed extensive consultations with serving and former House of Assembly members, and House of Representatives members, as well as well meaning Epe indigenes, including APC leadership, stressing that the caucus’s members were best placed to assess the impact of federal policies at the community level.

“As a Chairman of Epe Local Government Council Area and the custodians of grassroots governance, we are indeed, the closest arm of government to the people. We feel their pains, understand their aspirations, and work daily to translate government policies into real impact at the community level,” she said.

Princess Animashaun further stated that; "From urban centres to the most remote villages, our presence is felt, our voices heard, and our commitment to national development remains unwavering, that is why we are committing our efforts, and mobilising our people for the President Tinubu's re-election bid."

She commended President Tinubu’s administration for what he described as courageous and forward-looking leadership, particularly in the restoration of local government autonomy, improved funding and accountability at the grassroots, and the expansion of social investment programmes.

"In fact, it is understatement to say we felt your unwavering commitment,  indeed, we also praises the ongoing reforms in infrastructure, security, agriculture, and economic management, the initiatives are already yielding results in local communities."

“These policies are not mere promises, they are realities that are transforming lives in our communities, societies,  and creating safer environments for economic and social activities.” Princess Animashaun added.

She continued that the endorsement of President Tinubu was based on “facts, evidence, and the realities on the ground,” insisting that the administration had laid a strong foundation for national prosperity.

“I, Princess Surah Animashaun, on behalf of Epe LG council area, hereby formally declare our total, unwavering, and unconditional support for His Excellency, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for re-election in 2027,” she announced.

The Chairperson also used the opportunity to announce the endorsement of members of House of Representatives, and House of Assembly members, Hon. Wale Tasir Raji for fourth terms, and Hon. Abiodun Mustain Tobun for fifth terms respectively.

She called on serving and former Reps and Assembly members, including former Chairmen and Councillors, APC leaders in Epe division, ward leaders, grassroots mobilisers, and community stakeholders to begin nationwide mobilisation in support of the President.

“So, we must organise, mobilise, and enlighten our people. We must take this message to every polling unit, every ward, and every household,” she said.

The Chairperson and Epe APC caucus members expressed confidence that sustained unity at the grassroots would strengthen Nigeria’s democracy and accelerate national development.
